6th Grade Junior League Champions! (01/31/11) From Coach Lenahan

Congratulations to the 6th grade Lady Hoya basketball team on winning the CCJBC end-of-season tournament. They will now go down in CCJBC and Harrison history for being the only Harrison girls team to win both the regular season championship and the end-of-season tournament. I (Coach Lenahan) attended the game and was extremely impressed by the coaching, the team play, and the fan support. It was exciting to watch and see the girls having fun and success.

The Lady Hoyas finished 7-0 in the regular CCJBC season and then went 5-0 in the tournament with their final win being against Hillgrove. Their overall season record was impressive as well. In addition, they won every tournament they played in this season. No matter how one measures success, this team accomplished it in every way this season. I look forward to seeing how they progress in the spring. Way to go ladies!!!

CONGRATULATIONS 6TH AND 7TH GRADE JUNIOR LEAGUE LADY HOYAS (01/26/11)

Congratulations to our 6th and 7th grade Lady Hoya basketball teams. For the first time ever in the history of Harrison High School, its Metro program had two teams win the regular season championship in its region. The 6th grade team actually finished first among all teams in the CCJBC which is amazing! The 6th grade team is lead by Head Coach, Todd Guilmette, and his assistants Gary Wiggins and Kelly Jordan. The 7th grade team is lead by Head Coach Steve Sieracki, and his assistants Steve Walls and Stephanie Rainey. Both teams have had amazing seasons thus far and are currently preparing to win the CCJBC end-of-year tournament. Good luck Ladies, and keep working hard!!!

THE LADY HOYA JUNIOR LEAGUE TEAM POSTS WINS (01/18/11)

The 7th Grade Junior League team has had a winning season! The Ladies' current record is 27-8.  They finished second in the Harrison/Kennesaw Mt. tournament and third in the Pope/Walton Tournament.  Congratulations Lady Hoyas!

CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS! (12/04/10)

Congratulations to the Lady Hoya 8th grade basketball team for winning the North Cobb Tournament. The girls were undefeated in the tournament and beat host team North Cobb in the championship game to take home first place! Way to go Lady Hoyas!

MANDATORY MEETING (09/21/10)

There will be a mandatory Parent/Player meeting for all Junior League players and at least one parent. The meeting will be on Thursday, September 30th, 7:30 pm in the Harrison Presidential Gym. We look forward to seeing you there.

JUNIOR LEAGUE TRYOUTS (08/25/10)

The Hoya Jr League and the Harrison High School coaching staff are very excited to kick off the 2010-2011 basketball season. We would like to welcome all new players and welcome back our past players with many thanks for your participation. We hope to see all of you for a fun and exciting 2010-2011 basketball season. 

 

The Jr League program will be holding tryouts September 7th-12th.  This is a competitive program that's geared toward those players who are interested in playing basketball on the high school level and that are zoned to attend HHS.  The Jr League has Girls and Boys teams for grades 6th, 7th and 8th grade  along with a 5th grade girls team. All players interested in joining the Jr League Basketball program should attend at least 2 of the 3 tryouts listed below. Please see the appropriate date/time for your age group.  All tryouts will be held at the Harrison High School gym. Please wear basketball appropriate gym shoes and attire.
